This time, we will be introducing a review of
the HG 1/144 MD-0032G Dilanza (Guell’s custom machine) !

HG Dilanza (Guell’s custom machine) is a 1/144 scale model kit of the MS “Dilanza (Guell’s custom machine)” that appears in “Mobile Suit Gundam: Witch of Mercury”. The thick armor unique to Dilanza is reproduced with new molding. The kit features movable axes in various places such as the head, torso, and shoulders, making it possible to reproduce bold action poses. Weapons such as beam partisans, beam torches, and beam rifles are included. The price is 1,760 yen (tax included).

The MS “Dilanza” developed by Jetark has been tuned for the heir “Guell Jetark” to become the “Dilanza (Guell’s Custom)” in HG kit form. Its magenta-based coloring, massive proportions, and distinctive feathered blade antenna are all recreated.

The molding color is magenta (wine red) with white for the blade antenna feathers and part of the chest armor, and blue-green for the abdominal armor, verniers, etc. Dark gray molded KPS is used for other joints and internal parts.

Only the head camera eye and weapon sensor are included as stickers. The rest of the parts are almost all color-coded, so there is no need to paint them in detail. The color coding is reproduced sufficiently even with the original assembly.

The kit has a fine build structure that is easy to assemble. The runners are similar to those of the HG Leo , with the parts arranged symmetrically on both sides, making them easy to find, and the elbow and knee joints are hinged for easy assembly.

No polycaps are used. All parts are made up. The joints are strong. There is no equipment that places a load on the body, so it stands upright.

Includes beam rifle, beam partisan (handle, beam blade), and beam torch (handle, beam blade).

The head is impressive with its insect-like rounded armor and the six-pronged, tough blade antenna on the forehead. The blade antenna was aerial cut off during the duel, but the white feather ornament on the rear is also reproduced. The feather ornament is also molded to express a fluffy feel. There is no folding gimmick when storing it in a container.

The helmet is a combination of upper and lower parts, with some of the seams molded in. The green of the main camera is recreated by sticking a sticker to the mold, and if you don’t use the sticker, you can paint it along the mold.

The chest is a mechanical design based on dark gray molded parts. The white and blue-green armor is color-coded for each part. The beam vulcan that was fired aerial in the movie is also sculpted in the center of the chest.

The arm connection can be deployed.

The waist is equipped with wide and thick armor on the front armor, but there is no side armor. The front armor has a vague resemblance to Gusion.

Both the front and rear armor can be deployed. The rear armor is divided into a center and left and right armor, and the left and right armor can be deployed. It has a hinged structure that makes it easy to assemble.

There is no molding on the back of the front armor. The central armor of the rear armor has a molded backing part, but the backs of the left and right armor are simple with holes.

The arms themselves are lightly armored, but both shoulders are equipped with large, curved spike shields that make an impression.

The upper arms are cylindrical with no seams. The forearms are a combination of front and back, but the seams on the sides are also molded in stepped sections.

The elbows are hinged with a fine-build structure, making them easy to assemble by simply snapping each part together.

The shoulders are a combination of front, back and side joints, but the upper seam is molded with a step at the edge.

The spike shield on the shoulder is made up of a single piece on the front. A simple backing part is molded on the back. The backing part has a holder that can be used to mount weapons, and the left shoulder can store a beam torch, and the right shoulder can store a beam rifle and magazine (E-pack).

The spike shield has a flexible base that allows it to move freely back and forth, roll, up and down, etc.

Each part of the legs is reproduced with a thick, heavy design.

The thighs and lower legs are made of two pieces, front and back, with seams on the sides. The rear thrusters are molded in dark gray to recreate the color coding. The inside is open, making it easy to disassemble even when temporary assembly.

The knee joint is connected with a Finebuild hinge, and is a post-fit type in which the thigh and the part below the knee are assembled and then the knee joint part is attached.

The ankle joint parts are not sandwiched together, but are instead fitted after the armor parts below the knee are assembled, making it easy to assemble. Not only is it easy to assemble, but it’s also great that there’s no need to do any post-fitting when painting.

The sole is oval and quite unique. It has a heavy feel, but also a certain Z’Gok-esque, cute design.

The soles of the feet are molded with backing parts. There are no holes for meat. The angle of the toes can be changed slightly.

The backpack is light and simple, but mechanical with a small apogee sculpted. The central vernier is also color-coded with blue-green parts. This one also has an opening on the inside, making it easy to disassemble even during temporary assembly.

The upper back of the sword is equipped with two distinctive, sharp blades. They are not intended as weapons, but are simply decorative.

The backpack is a single part with plenty of holes on the inside. It has a common structure with two dowel connections, so it can be equipped with backpacks from HGUC kits and other kits in the same series, such as the Gundam Aerial.

Compare the size with the HG Ground Type GM and HG Lupus Rex. The exterior is thick so it looks large, but it is actually about the same size as the Land GM. The armor on the shoulders and back makes it a little taller.

Place it next to the HG Gundam Aerial , the Gunpla of the Gundam Aerial that faced off in the duel in episode 1. By combining them, you can recreate the fierce duel scene from the show.

It is lined up with the HG Gundam Rubris and HG Begilbeu from the same series . Each one belongs to a different group and has a unique shape. It seems likely that many of these derivatives will appear in the future.

The head can move quite far at the chin, but the back of the head gets in the way, so looking up is somewhat limited. It can swing smoothly from side to side without any interference.

The arms can be deployed widely up to a Y shape. However, be careful as the spike armor can easily get in the way. The elbows are also double-jointed and can be bent deeply.

The shoulders can be moved back and forth to a moderate degree. The front has a pull-out gimmick, so it swings forward a wider distance.

The upper body can swing slightly back and forth, and by stretching the hips a little, it can also swing moderately left and right.

The waist can be rotated 360 degrees without interference, and when connected to an action base or stand, it can be displayed by inserting a 3.0mm shaft into the crotch area as usual.

When spreading the legs forward and backward, if you move the waist armor to the outside, you can spread them out widely both front and back.

The knees are double jointed and can be bent to an L-shape.

The ankle has some movement forward and backward, but can move left and right with a wide range of motion.

When spreading your legs to the left and right, your hips and thighs will come into contact with each other, so only spread them to a V shape.

The thighs can be extended to about horizontal, and the bowlegs can be extended to about 45 degrees.

I was able to recreate the kneeling pose in a fairly good way. It has a nice chunky feel to it.
In terms of range of motion, although the armor is thick, there is a sufficient range of motion in both the arms and legs, so it should be flexible enough for posing. I have no complaints about it.

Beam rifle. It is a portable firearm of common standard developed for Jetark MS. In addition to burst firing, it is compatible with multiple firing modes.

The main body is simply split into two parts, with seams at the top and bottom. The sensor is color-coded with a green sticker. The magazine (E-pack) at the bottom of the barrel is removable. The magazine (E-pack) is made of one part and has no seams.

The muzzle is a shallow mold and is not open.

It can be disassembled and stored in the holder inside the shoulder spike shield.

Beam Partisan. This is an optional close-combat weapon for the Dilanza. It is capable of generating a highly convergent beam blade from the tip, and although it is for combat use, it is said to produce a wide-range attack effect.

The cross-shaped beam blade is distinctively shaped. The beam blade is detachable.

The handle is made up of three parts, and each part is very strong when assembled. Be careful not to break or damage the parts when assembling them. There are holes in some parts.

Beam torch. This is a close-combat equipment common to the Dilanza. It forms a wide beam blade. The handle is a simple rod-shaped one-piece part with no seams.

The beam torch can also be stored in the holder on the shoulder spike shield. Remove the beam blade and assemble it.
Armed to the max.

The Beam Partisan cannot be directly inserted into the hand parts, so you will first need to disassemble the hand protector parts in order to hold it in place.

Holding it with both hands is also possible. The arms are flexible, so it’s easy to express movements such as pulling back the spear tip or stabbing. The neck and waist can also rotate without any interference, so you can use these movements to recreate dynamic poses.

When posing the Beam Partisan, the strength of the joints in the arms and other parts is high, so the hand guards, which have relatively weak fixing strength, are put under stress and are prone to coming off. Therefore, when changing the direction of the Beam Partisan, it is a good idea to handle the hand guard parts with care.
The shoulder armor is flexible and can be deployed upwards to create dynamic and lively poses. It’s really cool.

It’s possible to give it a fair amount of expression as is, but it would’ve been better if it had angled hand parts on the wrists to expand the range of expression.
The beam rifle can be held simply by inserting the grip into the hand parts. It can be held without any gaps and does not wobble. The rear stock slightly interferes with the forearm, but it is not a big deal. It is a lightweight weapon, so it is easy to pose.
This time I’m using a stand to display it, but since the ankles have a wide range of movement, it will also be stable when displayed on the ground.

The beam torch is also easy to hold as the grip fits snugly into the hand part.

The beam blades for Beam Partisans and torches glow when illuminated with a black light.

Like Gundam Aerial and Gundam Lubris, the neck, shoulders, wrists, and crotch area share a common structure, so you can combine it with other kits to recreate your favorite machine.
Please feel free to take a few.

The fine-build construction with extensive use of post-hammering makes it easy to assemble, and no post-hammering is required when painting. The kit is user-friendly, so there is no need to disassemble and reassemble parts that were forgotten when assembling. The joints are flexible, allowing for soft, human-like movement despite the massive figure.
There is not much to be concerned about, but when posing the figure with the beam partisan, the hand-arm parts tend to come apart a little. It has a certain amount of strength, but the other joints are stronger, so it is easy for the hand armor to be overloaded.
The kit has a wide range of armaments, allowing for a wide range of poses, and its thick body gives a sense of weight to the poses, which makes them look cooler when posed. The spike shields on the shoulders are flexible and movable, so the arms can be moved with great power. The ease of assembly and playability of this kit has been thoroughly pursued.
