MG Altron Gundam EW Review

This is a review of the MG Altron Gundam EW.

The whole body. The coloring is different so it looks different, but the body is almost the same as Shenron EW. Only the dragon hangs on both arms are new.

Face. The color of the chin and ears have changed, but the shape is the same as Shenron EW.

Since it’s MG, the Vulcans and other models are color-coded, and although it was originally released more than four years ago, the facial features are also cool.

From below too.

Each part, etc. The color of the torso has also changed, but the shape is the same. It seems that this was planned from the time of Shenron, and the red in the center is also clearly colored.

The cockpit hatch can be opened and closed as usual.

The waist area. Same here. Ducts and other parts are color-coded.

Arms and legs. The forearm armor where the Dragon Hang connects is new, but everything else is reused from Shenron.

The Dragon Hang is usually folded up. The black eyes of the dragon are stickers. It’s not heavy, so there’s no need to worry about your shoulders getting weak.

back.

option.

A figure of Wufei in the Mariemaia military uniform is also included. There is also an extra figure of Shenron in casual clothes.

An auxiliary stand for dragon hanging is also included.

Decals.

Twin beam trident. This one has a new handle, but the beam blade is the same as Shenron’s.

It can also be mounted by changing the backpack cover.

The Dragon Hang can be folded in three stages. The arms are movable with ball joints at each section.

When extended, it was impossible to make it float without a support stand.

The base of both fangs can be retracted, allowing for large movements.

A dedicated stand is included, but there is also a 3mm hole on the back so you can also use various stands sold separately.

With the extension arm in use. If you use it all on one side it becomes quite long.

All of the figures are connected via ball joints, allowing for great flexibility in movement.

Most of them are reused Shenron. The colors are quite different, but the body shape is the same.

The backpack remains the same.

Although it’s been a long time since they’ve appeared, this is the third EW Gundam to appear in the anime.

Just a few at a time.

The body is the same as Shenron, so the movement remains unchanged. The frame is also the same W-type universal type that was common back then.

However, since the dragon hang is large, it may interfere slightly depending on the movement.

The Twin Trident can be fixed with dowels, just like Shenron, so it was held in place stably.

However, the angle is fixed, so if you want to change the blade angle you have no choice but to use a normal loose handle.

Dragon Hang deployment. It’s not quite as long as in the movie, but thanks to the extension parts it was still pretty long.

The arm can be moved at each joint, making it easy to fine-tune the position.

It was also convenient that I could use other items in addition to the included stand.

Both arms deployed at the same time.

If you attach them evenly on both sides, there will only be five sections, so it will be less impressive.

In EW, both arms were never deployed at the same time, so it doesn’t seem like a very familiar sight.

A showdown with Wing Zero. In the past, Wing Zero was the Zero Custom and Altron was the Gundam Nataku, but now they are the EW versions.

This is a review of the MG Altron Gundam EW.

The main body is almost the same as that of the Death Size Hell EW, so I was a little concerned about the fact that the Altron was released so late and as a Pre-Ban exclusive, but it finally went on sale.
The new Dragon Hang is also well made with a deployment gimmick and movable fangs.
Although it took a long time, we now have three Gundams that appeared in EW: Wing Zero, Death Scythe, and Altron.
