METAL BUILD Gundam Astray Red Frame Kai Review

This is a review of the METAL BUILD Gundam Astray Red Frame Kai.

The whole body. The shape is the same, but some of the paint and markings have been changed.

Upper body. The “KAI” character on the left shoulder is an obvious difference.

Lower body. The “kai” character is also written above the right knee.

back.

option.

Complete stand.

Equipped with rifle, shield, and Gerbera Straight.

Rifle. Standard equipment is the same as the normal version.

shield.

Back side.

Gerbera Straight.

Removed. Assembly is the same as the normal version.

The construction itself has not changed, so it is possible to equip it with various standard options such as the flight form.

Next up is the Tactical Arms IIL & Tiger Pierce option set.

Numerous auxiliary stands are also included. The round part in the center is the sword tip support.

This time it also came with a short support for standing poses.

Tactical Arms IIL equipped. This is the Lance form.

As the name suggests, it has a long, spear-like shape, so it is difficult to hold without using an auxiliary stand.

The color and texture are the same as the main body, and the details are also intricate.

He has a tiger piercing on his right thigh and uses two swords.

After removal. Assembly is the same as for the Gerbera Straight.

The Tactical Arms IIL and two swords can also be displayed separately using special supports.

You can also rearrange it to display it diagonally.

Back side.

Arrow form. This is completed by opening the tip of the lance form, changing the direction of the blade, and folding the center. Beam effect is also included.

There is a movable grip on the inside of the front.

There is also a grip on the rear beam torch part, so it can be held with both hands.

Flight form. For this one, remove the beam torch on the back of the Arrow form and equip it on the right hand, then transform it partially and attach it to the back to complete it.

The back. It was quite difficult for it to stand on its own without assistance, as it was sticking out quite far back.

From above.

Beam torch. Unfortunately, the grip on this one is a little thin and difficult to hold firmly.

Delta Form. In this form, the blade that was folded when in Arrow mode has been folded back to form an inverted triangle shape, and is mounted on the back at a different angle than when in flight.

From above.

The blade part unfolds as an original gimmick.

Magano Ikutachi Form. This one just opens the top blade and moves the black blade on the side down.

From above.

The blade can also be deployed forward.

V-form. This is the most convenient form, and the black blade at the bottom also acts as support, so it stands stably.

back.

Work form. In this version, the backpack blade is extended and attached to the right arm using a joint. The beam torch is in the left hand.

behind.

This one has a solid connection, but it is quite heavy, so it was difficult to extend my arms forward without assistance.

The other side.

The standard red frame. The molding color is slightly darker, and the gray is also darker, giving the overall impression a more compact look.

In addition, my hips can now rotate about 20 degrees deeper than before, and some of my joints have improved.

Just a few at a time.

When in Buoy, Delta, or Magano Ikutachi form, both hands are open, allowing for dual wielding.

There was plenty of distance between the main unit and the bag, so there was almost no interference.

Magano Ikutachi Form can be played with in the same way as Amatsu Mina.

Lance form.

This weapon is long, so an auxiliary stand is necessary if you want to move it dramatically.

It has a shape similar to Blue Frame Second L’s Tactical Arms Sword Form.

Arrow form.

This one also comes with a beam effect, making it a unique design.

Work form.

It is also difficult to support this position with one arm and assistance is required.

Shoot with a beam torch.

METAL BUILD Gundam Astray Red Frame Kai Review

It ends with a flight form. The above is a review of the METAL BUILD Gundam Astray Red Frame Kai.

As for the main body, the modeling is basically the same as before, but some parts such as the waist joints have been improved, and the paint and markings have been changed to give a tighter impression, and the figure has been slightly upgraded.
The main Tactical Arms IIL, like the other options, shares the same color and texture as the main body, so there is no sense of discomfort in the appearance, and the gimmick aspect, such as the transformation into each form, was very elaborate and interesting.
Recently, there have been many variations and option sets in this series, but I am looking forward to seeing the next completely new Double Orc Anta.
