HG G Self (Perfect Pack equipped) Review

This is a review of the HG G Self (Perfect Pack equipped).

The G-Self main body. Most of it is reused from the atmospheric pack, but the shoulder armor and side armor are new. The molding color has also been changed.

The face. This is the same as the atmospheric pack. There are a lot of stickers on the forehead, eyes, and sides of the head.

Each part, etc. The chest is the same. The molding color is lighter on the white parts, but darker on the red parts.

Waist area. The side armor is new and a little larger than before.

Arms and legs. The rest of the shoulder armor is the same as before. The shoulder armor is colored only in white and clear blue, and the light blue on the top and bottom and the yellow of the duct are stickers.

back.

Optional. New flat hand is also added.

Reflector mode effect is also included.

It also came with the usual general-purpose base (white).

Perfect pack. The binders on the left and right are a bit like space packs, but there are various changes in color, material, center ring, etc.

Rear. Stand joint for this is also included.

Attach it to your G Self and you’re fully equipped.

Side view. It’s quite heavy, but if you adjust the position of the binder, it can stand on its own.

Beam rifle. This is made by Towasanga, the same company that produced the atmospheric pack.

Copy and paste shield. This is new. The yellow line in the center is reproduced with a sticker.

The back side. There are no details, so it doesn’t look very good. The installation method is the same as other shields.

Perfect pack. The fine blue around the upper traffic fin is a seal.

The left and right binders are connected to arms and can move in multiple places; ball joints are also used, allowing for flexible movement.

Of course it’s not possible to add color, but it is possible to deploy the binder and switch to assault mode, facing forward along with the traffic fins.

The color coding of the left and right binders is perfect.

You can also recreate the reflector mode using effects. In this case, the center of the binder is closed and only the left and right parts are deployed.

The back. The base and everything else is clear, so it looks quite different from how it appears in the movie.

Like the space pack, it was also possible to combine with the Core Fighter.

The G-Self with the space pack attached. The main body is almost the same, but the color gives it a very different look.

Just a few at a time.

Photon Torpedo. The top center part of the Perfect Pack is made of clear parts.

Some parts of the G-Self itself are new, but the joints are the same so there is no change in movement.

It’s not as good as modern models because the elbows don’t bend very much and the hips can only turn a little.

The stand is convenient because it can be inserted not only between the legs but also under the Perfect Pack.

Photon Searcher. The Perfect Pack has many features that are hard to understand just by looking at it normally.

Transform the left and right binders into assault mode.

The arm was thick and had a strong holding power, so it was very stable.

Reflector mode. In the movie, the whole body glows and it looks quite flashy, but here the effect is simple and plain.

In this state, the arm may become loose. However, the volume is quite large and it is quite impressive.

Just the movement is a high torque punch.

Beam sabers are still included.

A showdown with Kabakali. In the movie, the ring was attached to a binder, but this cannot be recreated in HG due to its size.

The key visual shows a glare, although it is incomplete as Kabakali does not have a beam saber.

The core fighter is borrowed from the pack for space use and that’s it. This is a review of the HG G-Self (with Perfect Pack).

Although the main body of the G-Self is partially new, most of the parts are the same as those of the atmospheric pack, so the coloring was not so good, but the Perfect Pack is completely new, with plenty of clear parts and the volume of the strongest unit, so when viewed as a whole, it is quite cool.
The main body of the Perfect Pack is almost unchanged, so it is a little inferior to the recent models, but the arms and other parts of the main Perfect Pack are quite movable, and it can transform into an assault form and has effects for reflector mode.
It seems that this is the end of the HG G Reco series, and that there will be no new releases for a while, but I wonder if there will be more in the future, or if there will even be an MG G-Self.
