Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Revealed Chronicle
Official project by “Mobile Suit Gundam 00” and METAL BUILD. “Mobile Suit Gundam 00” will be a story that reveals the missing link of GN Drive related to “Double Drive” technology that was never told in the TV animation. Seiji Mizushima (” Mobile Suit Gundam 00″ director), Yosuke Kuroda (series composition), Tomohiro Chiba (SF research) and other official anime staff will participate in this project.

This is a review of METAL BUILD Gundam Dynames Saga.

The whole body. Based on Dynames and Repair 3, some parts such as the head, waist, and left knee have been newly sculpted. It features unique coloring, with the upper and lower body being different colors on the left and right.

Face. Since this is a unit connected to the Cherudim Saga, the head has a similar design to that. It has unique features such as a large gun camera on the forehead and an antenna on the left side of the head, which are different from the Dynames.

The eyes are painted metallic as usual, and the cheeks and other parts have a complex shape, but they were painted carefully.

However, it was unfortunate that this time there was a scratch on the red part of the jaw that was visible to the naked eye.

Like Dynames, the gun camera on the forehead can be lowered as is.

The gun camera is made of clear parts, allowing you to see inside, giving it a great appearance.

Each part, etc. The chest shape is the same as Dynames. However, the coloring is quite different, with the left one being similar to Dynames and the right being similar to Repair 3.

The waist area. This one is asymmetrical, with the missile unit on the right.

The missile unit can be deployed as is.

The chest armor can also be opened.

Arms and legs. The arms are the same as Dynames, but the left knee of the legs is new and based on Astrea 2. Also, the coloring of the arms and legs is different and asymmetrical, giving it a unique look.

The markings on the shoulders are asymmetrical, and like other Dynames, the front bottom of the shoulder armor can be opened.

The missile hatch on the right knee can be deployed as is. The knee parts can also be swapped between left and right.

Back. The rear thruster unit is the same as that of Repair 3.

The gimmick remains the same, with the base being slightly movable up and down and left and right, and the verniers deploy when the cover is opened up and down. The back side is equipped with a beam saber, which can be removed from the side.

option.

Complete pedestal.

Equipped with all weapons except for the interchangeable shield.

GN Assault Carbine. The two main shooting weapons are newly sculpted and come with the ones from Cherudim Saga.

The side grip is movable and the magazine is removable. The side grip and rear adapter are removable, so it can be used on both the right and left arms by switching parts.

A dedicated holder is included, which can be used to mount it on your shoulder.

By raising the pin, it can also be mounted on the side armor or rear thruster unit. In addition, weapons from other units, such as the rifle included with the Astrea 2, can also be mounted in the holes.

GN submachine gun. This is also new. Like the carbine, the side grip is movable, and the side grip and rear adapter can be detached. By switching parts, it can be used on both the right and left arms.

It is also possible to mount it on the left knee by folding the grip and raising the pin.

The shoulder armor gimmick is the same as that of Dynames, so it is possible to pull out the base and move it back and forth or open it.

It was also possible to grab the grip on the back.

GN Beam Pistol. This is the same as the Dynames.

It can be stored in the GN Beam Pistol holders that can be attached to both legs.

GN Beam Pistol II. This is a new model, as it was later equipped for the Cherudim.

The grip is movable and can also be used as an axe-like melee weapon.

This can be mounted on the side armor or rear thruster unit using a dedicated holder.

The back appears to be basically a GN Condenser, but it also comes with a regular GN Drive.

As always, the drive can be removed.

Next is the shield equipped for repair replacement. Although the shape is different, it is a large shield similar to the GN full shield of the Dynames, and its armor is made of clear parts.

Like Dynames, it is equipped on both shoulder armors and has the same movable gimmicks, but unlike Dynames, it does not have gimmicks such as opening in the center or mounting a pistol on the back.

Each of the three clear plates can be removed.

Knee armor for the Astrea II. This allows you to mount a GN submachine gun on the knee of the Astrea II.

A set of joint parts for connecting to GN Arms is also included, allowing you to connect it to the GN Arms Sefer Unit (sold separately).

The rear. The way to mount is the same as Dynames.

Dynames, Repair 3. This time the head is different so the impression is quite different, but I think the variations on Dynames are about right.

I’m not sure if it fits exactly, but by using these parts it is possible to recreate the Dynames Repair that appeared in the movie.

It fires a GN submachine gun while holding a GN small shield. Most of the joints and shapes are the same, so the movement is almost the same as Dynames and Repair 3.

Put down the gun camera and fire the GN assault carbine. The shoulders move well, so it’s easy to hold a ranged weapon with both hands.

GN Beam Pistol. This is the same as always.

GN Beam Pistol II. Only the weapon was released first, but it is unclear whether Cherudim will be released someday.

Equipped with a repair replacement shield. Unlike the Dynames, the center does not open, so you cannot take out the pistol while it is closed.

If you open the shoulders to the left and right, you can hold weapons such as the GN assault carbine as usual.

Both the carbine and the submachine gun can be equipped on either the left or right hand, so they can be held in both hands.

Missile hatches at the waist and knees deploy.

As always, beam sabers are included.

That’s it. This concludes the review of METAL BUILD Gundam Dynames Saga.
Although it doesn’t stand out much when fully equipped, the coloring is quite unusual, so it looks like it’s a love-it-or-hate-it look for some people, but the design of the Dynames body with the Cherudim Saga head and weapons seems to fit quite well, and combined with the excellent modeling and painting that is typical of Metal Build, it looks pretty cool.
The joints are the same as Dynames and Repair 3, so the movement is good, the weapons are abundant, the gimmicks are elaborate, and the play value is very high.
Although I liked it well apart from the defect in the head, I thought that the Dynames variations were enough from the announcement and that it was about time to go to Curious, but it seems that the 1.5 (Eyes) Gundam has been almost confirmed as a new 00 series, so I’m looking forward to that as well.
