Bandai METAL BUILD DRAGON SCALE BELLVINE (Leader of the NA royal Knights specification) Review

The “METAL BUILD DRAGON SCALE” series introduces the red and white “BELLVINE,” leader of the Royal Guard of the Kingdom of Na!
Taking the “fusion of biological appeal and alloy” that was well received with “Sirbine” to the next level, the pearlescent red exterior shows different expressions depending on the angle, and when combined with the matte armor, joints, and metal shine, it creates a presence and texture like a jewel.
The legs are made up of layers, and their silhouette changes in response to the movement of the ankles, bringing out the charm of Aura Butler’s lifelike nature to the fullest in terms of design.
In addition, the “Aura Sword Rifle” is included as a weapon. It can be switched between shooting and slashing modes, allowing you to depict a new version of “BELLVINE”!

This is a review of METAL BUILD DRAGON SCALE BELLVINE (Leader of the NA royal Knights specification).

The whole body. Since it is the AURA FHANTASM version of Vilvine, there is no reuse of the Servain, it is completely new. Since it is the specification of the captain of the Royal Guard of the Country of Na, the coloring is close to the original Vilvine.

behind.

Face. As with the Servain, there aren’t any major changes to the head, but the shape of the red parts on the left and right sides have been slightly altered, giving the impression of a more manly face.

Since it is scaled up from ROBOT Spirits, there are molded details around the nose, eyebrows, and temples. The eyes are painted metallic, and other details are also accurately painted.

From below too.

Each part, etc. Since there was a lot of information to begin with, the arrangement of the torso was moderate, and the amount of gold engraving was increased slightly. The form was designed to emphasize a more biological feel.

The canopy can be opened and closed, just like the Servain. The clear green cocoon allows you to see inside the seat and other parts.

Around the waist. There’s a lot of gold engraving around here, making it look more flashy than the original.

The side waist armor is double hinged and can be opened forward and backward.

Arms and legs. Compared to the original, the shoulders are raised and the legs are thicker, making it look more massive. The shoulder armor has three layers, the tips of the elbow armor are gold, and the details of the shins have been greatly increased, so the arrangements in this area were quite strong.

The armour on the cuffs can be pulled out and moved. The claws are also slightly movable.

Each of the four claws on the feet can move. When you move them, the armor on the sides and calves moves with them. The armor moves in the same way when you move the ankles.

back.

The aura converter and secondary wings are articulated, the clear wings are ball-jointed, and when you raise the dorsal fin the collar and neck move in tandem, while when you pull the shoulders forward the converter moves in tandem.

The aura converter, secondary wings, and dorsal fins can be deployed. The gimmick of the clear wings bending in the middle, which was unpopular with the Servain, is gone.

The inside of the converter is packed with details that give it a biological feel.

The converter is equipped with an aura sword on the right side. The sheath is connected using a crank-type joint with a ball joint, and the height, direction, angle, etc. can be adjusted. The sheath has also been appropriately arranged. It can also be attached to the left side.

In terms of mobility, both the neck and waist can swing widely, the shoulders can be raised high, and the elbows and knees can be bent deeply.

The hip joints are not retractable, but they can move widely back and forth and sideways, and the joints are very stable. The shoulders can be extended 30 to 40 degrees, so the arms can be bent inward quite a bit.

option.

Complete pedestal.

Equipped with Aura Sword Rifle.

Aura Sword. Each part has been detailed to match the scale. The handle has a more subdued color scheme than the original. When holding it, you can remove the end of the handle.

A lid part for when the sheath is removed is also included.

Aura Sword Rifle. Although it wasn’t included in the ROBOT Spirits, a rifle similar to the one used by the Vilvine is also included. This one also requires you to remove the grip before holding it.

A sword effect is also included, allowing it to be transformed into sword mode. The effect can be replaced with the gun barrel part. The grip can also be replaced with a special one.

A dagger is also included.

This can be stored inside the forearm armor.

In addition to the usual type of stand joint that is inserted between the legs, there is also a type that firmly covers the front and back of the waist, allowing for stable display in a flying pose.

This is the same as the Metal Build Servain. The size is almost the same as this one, but a little larger than the regular Metal Build.

Also, the Robot Spirits Verbin (Na Kingdom Royal Guard Commander version). In addition to adding various details, the body shape has been arranged to be a little more chunky.

Just a few at a time.

As mentioned above, the movement is good, but there are many sharp points, so it is best to be careful when handling it.

The shoulders can be extended quite far forward, making it possible to hold a sword with both hands.

Kick. The movement itself is fine, but the clear wings come off quite easily, and the shoulder joints sometimes come off as well, which was a bit frustrating.

Aura Sword Rifle. However, the clear feathers are easy to fall off, which is probably to prevent damage, so that can’t be helped.

Switch to sword mode and use two swords.

The effect is quite large and comes with an auxiliary support, but if the angle is right it can be held with one hand.

From behind. The back is crowded with parts such as converters, wings, and dorsal fins, and there is also a deployment gimmick, so they all get in the way of each other and it’s a bit cramped.

Standing upright and equipped with a dagger, the claws on the legs move flexibly and have a strong grip, so it’s very stable.

With the canopy open. The legs are quite long, so kneeling was a bit difficult.

This concludes the review of METAL BUILD DRAGON SCALE Verbin (Na no Kuni Imperial Guard Commander Specification). The first release of Metal Build’s Aura Battler was Servain, but the AURA FHANTASM version of the Vilvine-like Verbin has also been released in a Na no Kuni Imperial Guard Commander Specification with a more Vilvine-like coloring. This time, too, there are arrangements that are typical of Metal Build in each part, and the shape of the shoulders and legs has been changed to create a stronger silhouette than the original. In addition, there are more details and gold engravings overall, which increases the sense of precision, the mobility is generally good, and there are more weapons than the original, so the play value is high. Although there were some minor flaws such as the shoulders coming loose and the clear wings being easily removed, it was generally satisfactory. The Metal Build Dunbine series continues with Servain and Verbin, and I don’t think there will be a Zwausu, but I’m curious to see which machine it will be if a third release is released.
