About the Series

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny

This sequel is set two years after the events of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It depicts the renewed war between ZAFT and the Earth Army from the perspective of Shin Asuka, a ZAFT soldier whose family was killed by the Earth Alliance. Also features appearances by Kira Yamato, Athrun Zala, and Lacus Clyne, who appeared in the previous film and fought alongside each other in the final battle, struggling to end the war from their own perspectives and ideals. The series boasts the same popularity as its predecessor, with new characters including Rey Za Burrel and Lunamaria Hawke.

This is a review of METAL BUILD Destiny Gundam (full package) [METAL BUILD FESTIVAL 2024].

The whole body. The shape is the same as the normal version. Like the Strike Freedom, the FES2024 version has been given its own unique color scheme, and the markings have also been changed.

The face. The shape is the same, so the Metal Build-specific villain-like face is still emphasized.

However, this time the white is lighter, so the color makes it look less villainous than the normal version.

From below too.

Each part, etc. The white color is quite different from the normal one, but the red, blue, and light blue colors are only slightly different. Unfortunately, there was a small paint stain on the silver on the left flank.

Waist.

The arms and legs. The shape of these parts has not changed. The first one came out over 10 years ago, but it still looks good.

The shoulder markings are asymmetrical.

back.

The thrusters are movable.

The wing deployment gimmick remains unchanged.

option.

Complete stand.

Fully equipped.

Beam rifle. The foregrip and scope movable gimmicks remain the same. The color is a little darker.

Can be mounted on the back of the waist.

shield.

Back side. To install, just place it over the forearm armor.

The deployment gimmick remains the same, but the interior has changed from red to purple, making for a major color change.

Beam shield. This can be used by replacing the hand guard parts.

Arondight. The deployment gimmick is the same as before. The color has changed a little, but there is no big difference.

Beam cannon. This one also has the same gimmick, but the color is slightly darker.

The flash edge gimmick remains the same, but it can be removed from the shoulder and used as a beam blade (large),

A small beam blade can be attached.

Since it is a full package, wings of light are also included.

A set of fixed parts. The contents are the same as the previous Wings of Light single version.

Installed. The installation method was the same as before. It takes up a lot of height and width, so I replaced the background with one for a large object.

There is also a slight difference in color, but it’s so small you wouldn’t notice it unless you compared them side by side.

The gimmick of being able to adjust the angle using fixed parts at the base of the wing remains the same. The angle can be adjusted in three stages.

The same gimmick is used, which allows the wings to be spread out horizontally using only the large wing by changing the joints.

Compared to the normal version of the Wings of Light (left), the normal version has white at the base, which makes it look a bit flashy.

Next to the full package version of the normal Destiny, the white color is much brighter and less villainous.

However, compared to the same FES2024 version of Strike Freedom, it is a darker white that leans towards gray, and it seems that whether you prefer this or the normal version is a matter of personal preference.

Just a few at a time.

The shape is the same, so the movement is the same.

The same goes for the weapon gimmicks and stands.

Flush edge. Neck and waist can be rotated firmly.

Arondight is quite impressive as the tip can be extended.

Since the base of the beam cannon is connected to the backpack, it seems that its direction and angle are somewhat limited.

Wings of light unfold.

Thanks to the fixing parts, the angle can be firmly fixed, so there is no stress about it sagging on its own.

It is dangerous to keep it in this position for long periods of time, but the stand and joints for the main unit are sturdy, so it was very stable.

Thanks to the fact that the base of the wing can be bent backwards, there is almost no interference with the main body even when the wings of light are attached.

This concludes the review of METAL BUILD Destiny Gundam (Full Package) [METAL BUILD FESTIVAL 2024].

Unlike the Strike Freedom, which I only had one type of, there have been several patterns of Destiny in the past, so I was a little hesitant, but I was interested in the unique coloring of METAL BUILD FESTIVAL 2024, and I thought it would be better to have this one as well if I was going to line it up with the Strike Freedom, so I bought it.
The white of the normal version was a fairly dark gray, but this time it is only a little darker, and the image has changed quite a bit. It was a shame that there were some small paint defects, but the paint, which uses pearl and gloss colors, is beautiful, and combined with the good original shape, this has a different charm from the normal one, which was good.
I’m sure that Spec II will be released, but since it was originally released in 2013, I feel that the shape will change a little soon, and I’m curious about what specifications it will have.
