HGCE REVIVE 1/144 FORCE IMPULSE GUNDAM Review

This is a review of the HGCE Force Impulse Gundam.

The whole body. She has a very tall body, a small face and long legs. The original design was complicated, but since it’s a revive, a large part of it has been reproduced in different colors.

The face. Since it’s an HG model, there are no ducts, but the antennas are well color-coded and each part is well-balanced.

The eyes are stickers but the parts are green clear.

Each part, etc. Mostly color-coded, with grey for the collar and ducts, yellow around the edges, and light blue in the center of the chest. Only the V on the chest is a sticker.

Around the waist. This one is also colored light blue, down to the front armor.

Arms and legs. The figure is generally slender, but the legs are particularly elongated compared to the rest of the figure. These are also color-coded in detail, with only the yellow stickers on the knees.

Back. On the back is the folded Core Splendor for combination. This part is hidden, so it is molded in a single color of white, which doesn’t look very good.

When removed, it becomes a two-hole configuration, which is common in recent Gunpla models.

The poly parts of the joints are PC002. The shoulders are not poly, but they are pulled out in the upward direction. There is a transformation gimmick, so the hips swing with a single BJ.

The elbows and knees have great mobility, and the hip joints move widely forward and to the sides, but the contact with the ground is only moderate.

Optional. Knife not included.

Force silhouette.

Fully equipped, it goes into Force Impulse.

behind.

Beam rifle. The red parts on the sides are stickers. The foregrip is movable. It can also be mounted on the waist.

The shield. It has a complex color scheme, but it was also all color-coded.

Back side. Only the elbow joint is attached.

It can also be folded by replacing parts.

Force Silhouette. It was impossible to color-code such thin parts, so the red on the wings and other parts was a sticker.

The base and tip of the lower wing are color coded white. The base of the main wing can move up and down, and the base of the lower wing can also move with a ball joint.

Core Splendor.

The back side. This is also molded in a single color.

Silhouette flyer.

Same here. Both have stand holes on the back.

Next is the separation transformation. First, separate the upper body, lower body, and Force Silhouette. The upper and lower body are connected by removing the abdomen.

With the upper body still armed, bend both elbows, cover your face with your left arm, turn your right arm outward and raise your shoulder to complete the chest flyer.

Back side. Only the shield needs to be replaced.

Fold your knees and ankles into a leg flyer.

The back side. A special joint is also included.

The Force Silhouette folds the lower wing and connects to the Silhouette Flyer.

Back side.

If you line up four of them, you can recreate the takeoff sequence. Each one has a stand hole, so it’s easy to raise them up.

The size is not particularly different from the regular HG, but the body balance is quite different from Freedom. The molding color is also slightly darker.

Just a few at a time.

Launch sequence. Even though it is an HG model, the complex combination and transformation gimmick is accurately reproduced.

Body combination.

Force silhouette connection.

Force Impulse completed.

Charge.

The body is stable in movement even though it has a transformation and combination gimmick. However, since there is only one BJ on the waist, the swing range is a little narrow.

It might have been even better if the shield had a grip.

The shoulders move well, so you can pull out the saber. However, there is a collar around the neck, so you can only look down and not turn it to the side.

From behind.

A standard saber blade is included.

The hips can also rotate, so slashing movements are no problem.

There is also a state without the Force Silhouette that appeared in the episode where Gelzge appeared. Kneeling and holding a rifle in both hands are also possible.

Confronting Freedom.

Attack by flying the upper body.

I told you I wouldn’t let you get away!

Attacks that seem to be serious about killing,

Averted by separating. Apparently the laser anti-ship sword will be included in a special version of ROBOT Spirits, so the stabbing will be something to look forward to there.

This concludes the review of the HGCE Force Impulse Gundam.

Impulse is a somewhat neglected main character of SEED, but it was revived and released relatively early on.
The proportions are so good that some people may have different tastes, but as it is a completely new model with current technology, the complex coloring is almost entirely reproduced in color, the mobility is impeccable, and it even has a separation and combination gimmick at this size, so it is very well made both in terms of appearance and playability. As
expected, the red of the Force Silhouette’s main wings was a sticker, but even so, it looks good enough just by assembling it as it is, so I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a well-made three-dimensional Impulse model.
