This is a review of HG 1/144 GUNDAM Barbatos Lupus.

The whole body. It’s still Barbatos so there aren’t any drastic changes, but the shoulders are red and the physique is more massive than before.

Face. The antennae are now larger than before and blue in the middle.

The color scheme is excellent as always, with the red on the chin, the gray on the cheeks, and the yellow on the sides all reproduced.

From below too.

Each part, etc. The torso hasn’t changed much, but the mark in the center has disappeared and the shape is sharper.

The waist area. This was also the same, but with a more pointed shape.

The side armor has been upgraded to thrusters, giving it a silhouette closer to that of the 6th. The poly parts at the base are the same.

Arms and legs. Red armor has been added to the shoulders to make it more heroic. The arms are not much different, but the legs are bulkier and the feet are heel-shaped like the 6th.

The Tekkadan mark on the shoulder is reproduced as a separate part rather than a sticker.

The red part can be pulled out with a sliding mechanism for easy movement and can be moved up and down.

Back. The shape of the backpack has also changed.

As before, the thrusters are movable.

The mobility is just as excellent as before, with a large swing of the hips, extension of the shoulders, and the red parts moving individually so they can be raised high.

The elbows and knees bend deeply, the hip joints can move widely back and forth and sideways, and the ankles can rotate sideways, so ground contact was perfect.

Optional. Stand joint is included as there is a lot of interference around the crotch area.

Sword mace. Since it seemed like she had awakened to the long sword at the end of the first season, it has elements of that weapon, making it look like it can also be used for slashing.

As before, it can be attached to a backpack using a joint.

The backpack can be deployed as a sub-arm just like before, but since it only has one weapon this time, it’s pretty much useless on its own.

As before, it is not perfect, but it is possible to reproduce the frame state. The Gundam frame is written as 4.

Barbatos 4th and 6th forms. The head is slightly larger. The 6th form also inherits the side thrusters and heel-like legs.

Behind. The mace is about the same length.

Just a few at a time.

Charge. The shape is similar, so there is no big difference in the movement from the previous Barbatos. The waist can also rotate properly.

Slamming. The handle is quite long, so you can hold it with both hands. Angled wrists are also included.

It also has high ground contact, so you can keep your feet firmly on the ground even if you spread your feet wide.

As before, there was no problem with the swing with both hands. However, the drawback was the same, and the shoulders tended to come loose when moving dramatically.

It’s difficult to slash downwards with both arms outstretched, but a cross slash is fairly natural.

The shoulders move well, so it’s even possible to grab the sword mace mounted on his back.

Thrust. The head can also be tilted up quite a bit.

Slash up.

I’ve always kneeled, but my shins take up a large proportion of my body, so it looks a little unnatural.

That’s it. This concludes the review of the HG Gundam Barbatos Lupus.
It’s the same Barbatos, so it’s not drastically different from the first season, but the balance of the proportions has changed a bit, and the shoulders have become red, making it look more heroic, and the coloring is excellent and well done for the price, just like before. There
‘s only one weapon, probably because there’s a separate option set, so it doesn’t have much play value on its own, but in terms of mobility, it has the same frame structure as before, and it’s made with careful consideration for things like drawers and sliding parts of the armor, so it moves better than you’d expect from the outside, and I think the range of poses is quite large.
It’s still unclear what kind of movements it will make in the show, but I’m looking forward to seeing even more flashy action than in the first season.
