This is a review of METAL BUILD Evangelion Unit-01 [EVA2020].
The whole body. The shape is the same as the regular Metal Build Unit 01. The paint has been changed to mainly metallic as part of the EVA2020 spec.
The face. Not only has it become metallic, but the purple color has also changed slightly, making it closer to the color in the movie, which is more reddish than the regular version.
The head design is quite complex, but the paintwork is just as careful as the regular version.
The mouth can be opened and closed as it is.
Each part, etc. The shape of the body remains the same. The metallic paint has a strong shine and a unique texture. Some parts, such as the black parts, are painted normally.
Waist.
The arms and legs. Not only has it become metallic, but the coloring itself has also changed, with the ankle armor changing from orange to green.

The Lance of Longinus is also included as an exclusive weapon for EVA2020.
The base. The color has changed from green to gray.

Comes equipped with goggles, shin armor, and various weapons.
Goggles. The way they are attached is the same as the regular version.

Palette rifle. The shape is the same, but it’s a brighter color than the regular version.

The bayonet parts can also be used as a knife.
Various weapons can be mounted on the shoulders, thighs, etc. using joints.
Handgun. This one is also the same as before, with the barrel slide and magazine removal gimmicks unchanged.

Counter sword. Again, only the color of the handle has changed, becoming lighter.
As before, two sheaths are included.
Progressive Knife.
This one also comes with a sheath and can be equipped on the shoulder, etc.
The Spear of Longinus. This is a new design with an impressive size of nearly 40cm. It is a single part with no divisions.
The same pedestal set as before is also included, as is the gimmick for displaying weapons together.
The regular version of Unit 01. Not only has it become metallic, but there are also more painted areas and some colors have been changed.

The shape is the same, so there is no change to the movement of the body.
The shoulder area is quite flexible, making it easy to hold a pallet rifle with both hands.
Bayonet mode. The stand support is simple in structure and easy to use.
Although the hip joints are not retractable, the legs can be raised firmly, making kneeling easy.

Dual wielding. There are so many types of weapons that the display is quite wide.
The ability to attach weapons to the shoulders, thighs, etc. and transform into various forms remains the same.
If you put them all together it looks quite showy.

The handle also doubles as a knife, so it’s difficult to hold firmly and is a little unstable.

The main body is painted metallic and the coloring itself has changed from before, which makes a big difference in impression, and it has good movement and a wide range of weapons, so it has high play value. The new weapon, the Lance of Longinus, is nearly 40 cm in size and has a detailed paint job that looks cool.
