This is a review of METAL BUILD Gundam Astray Blue Frame Second Revise.

The whole body. The regular Blue Frame was released, but this is the first Second Revise. The head, shoulders, etc. are new and this time it’s fully painted.

Face. The complex design unique to Second Revise is precisely sculpted. Sharp, fine details such as the antennae are also accurately painted.

It features a long peak and chin guard. The eyes are painted metallic as usual.

From below too.

Each part, etc. Unlike the normal Blue Frame, the torso is designed to be covered in white armor. This time it is painted with a matte texture.

Waist.

The arms and legs. The shoulders are also designed very differently from the normal Blue Frame. The arms and legs are the same as before.

The armor on the shoulders and in front of the shoulders can be pulled out. The armor behind the shoulders can also be bent backwards, allowing the thin armor on the inside to be deployed.

Armor Schneiders are attached to both thighs.

It is also built into the sole of the foot and can be deployed by pulling out the toes and heels.

back.

option.

pedestal.

Auxiliary pedestals for weapons, etc.

Replacement mask. A mask that is completely covered from the eyes down is included.

Armor Schneider. A knife attached to the thigh. It is held by a special handle.

Tactical Arms II Sword Form. This one has a 3mm hole on the side so it can be floated on a stand.

The backpack can be deployed and worn on the back. It also stands up on its own without any problems.

It can also be displayed vertically using the sub-pedestal and sub-support.

It is also possible to change the sub-support to make it slanted.

Gatling form.

This is the version where the blade is open and it is mainly used for shooting. The tip of the open blade is fixed and the grip is pulled out and held.

Flight form. In this form, the blades are opened and shaped like wings, and are equipped on the back.

There is a lot of weight on the back, but the legs of the main body are made of die-cast and are heavy, so it is able to stand on its own.

Sword arm. Here the blades are separated and equipped on both hands.

The separated sword has a grip and joint which are fixed at two points: the handle and the elbow hole.

Gatling Arm A. This is the Gatling gun equipped with the blade removed. The blade is not used, so it is lightly equipped.

Gatling Arm B. This is Gatling Arm A, but instead of being held by a grip, it is fixed to the elbow with a joint.

From the side. Even without the blade, it’s still long enough to be impressive.

Like the Red Frame Kai, it comes with backpack joints for the Astray and Strike, allowing you to swap out the equipment between them.

The regular Blue Frame and the Red Frame Kai. The texture has changed significantly due to the paint. The white color is slightly different from the Kai with the same paint specifications.

Just a few at a time.

Flight form equipped with Armor Schneider. Although it has the same name, it is much larger and more impressive than the Strike one.

He also deploys the blades of his feet and kicks.

Sword form.

This one is very large, but the joints of the body are very stiff so I was able to hold it with both hands without any assistance.

Mobility-wise, it’s pretty much the same as other Astrays. You can hold the sword with both hands, but you can’t hold it with both elbows extended.

Sword arm. This weapon is easy to use because it can be attached to the elbow as well as the grip.

When the mask is on, the impression changes considerably. It looks less Gundam-like and more like a ninja.

Gatling arm. This one is shoulder-held, so it’s easy for the shoulder to give way, but if you get the angle right you can hold it firmly.

Gatling Form. Although the number of weapons is small, each Tactical Arms II provides great play value.

A painted version of the Astray was eventually released, so maybe the F91 will be released soon too.

That’s it. This concludes the review of the METAL BUILD Gundam Astray Blue Frame Second Revise.
The Blue Frame has been released before, but this is the second Revise, so the appearance has changed significantly, and while the previous model was made of glossy polycarbonate, this model is matte painted, so the texture is different and the finish has a completely different atmosphere. The
new parts, such as the head and shoulders, are very cool with the sharpness that is typical of Metal Build, and the paint and markings are accurate. The joints are the same as before, but the movement is generally good, and the main weapon, the Tactical Arms II, was also fun to play with and gave me a high level of satisfaction. The
next Metal Build Astray model is the Gold Frame Ten Hana, but it seems to be different from the previous Ten Mina, so I’m looking forward to that as well.
